A destination already successful in terms of meetings and business, Guadalajara was struggling to attract leisure travelers. This cosmopolitan city enjoys great connectivity, well-developed infrastructure, a wide range of accommodations, and a variety of tourism product, but was perceived as a business, rather than leisure destination. We developed a two-year strategy that includes travel trade outreach, an integrated PR strategy and media plan that includes developing and maintaining social media channels to increase consumer “buzz” around the destination, and an online marketing plan that includes web development.

Additionally, PHG Consulting works with local ground operators to create new and exciting packages that appeal to U.S. leisure travel consumers and is improving current products through training and education of ground operators.
